Our History
DBA Accountants of Stirling, Western Australia has a long, rich history of assisting small to medium business with their accounting, tax responsibilities and wealth creation.
The firm commenced back in 1976 when Murray Davey founded the practice and began servicing a group of clients. These were predominantly small business, artists and individuals – including motor cycle shops, rock & roll musicians and school teachers.
Jodie Hutton brought her skills and knowledge to the firm in 1998, and officially became a Director on the 1st of July 2003.
Then in 1999, DBA absorbed the practice of Turk Ellis & Co. At that time, Turk and Murray had between them, accumulated 50 years of practical experience in public practice. In 2001 Turk retired from the firm to pursue other business interests. Murray has also since retired and Jodie Hutton has taken over the reigns, attracting a team of professionals dedicated to making DBA client’s live easier.
As you can imagine, a firm that delivers quality work and outstanding customer service – with that touch of genuine care for its clients, can only flourish… and flourish it has! Today, DBA supports small to medium businesses, professional people, and investors with all aspects of their financial affairs. While DBA clients are now spread throughout Australia and international – the majority are located in the greater Perth metropolitan area and near-country Western Australia.
